Web design includes, but is not limited to, information architecture, page layouts, visual design, technical development and networked delivery of content for the web intended to be viewed by users via a web browser. Simply put, web design refers to the process of creating content for the web. As a web designer it is my duty to combine your text, images, audio and video using a programming language and publish it to the web in a way that your users or customers can interact with it in a meaningful manner.

Although I am based in Costa Rica, I have happy freelance WordPress design clients worldwide. I make sure that I am always available for questions and support via email, Skype or over the phone. I like to make sure that my web design clients are always kept in the loop during the design process and that I provide them with the tips, tools and training to manage their own websites if they choose to do so.  Alternatively, I can manage it all for you, while you get on with managing and growing your business.

All that’s needed for us to start working together is for you to contact me via my email form and provide some basic information about your business and web design project. I’ll schedule a Skype call so we can have a face to face discussion regarding your timelines, your requirements, expectations and budget. If it’s on, we establish a design brief and begin to plan, develop and deploy of your website.

Once the design brief has been agreed to and finalized verbally, I encourage you to contribute ideas and samples of websites that you like as well those which you don’t. When I’m satisfied that I have enough information to work with, I’ll begin the project by researching your marketplace to develop a web design proposal which includes the site architecture, visual web design and functionality required and present it to you for review. I listen carefully to your feedback and make the necessary changes to the proposal and offer advice on why I have arrived at the conclusions submitted. This process of consultation and refinement continues until the web design proposal achieves perfection and you’re happy for me to get to work. Once the development work has been completed we will begin another round of reviews, revisions and refinements until the web design, site functionality and other elements are dialled into your requirements and the site can be published and the post production handover  or support process can begin.
